Ms. Halime Firdevs Taşkın
Ph.D. Student (Visiting Student)
She is a researcher focusing on the environmental performance of building and urban form. Her work brings together climate- and water-related aspects at both building and settlement scales, aiming to develop more integrated approaches to urban analysis and design. Within this scope, she examines how variations in urban form influence microclimatic conditions and hydrological processes, with particular attention to outdoor thermal comfort and surface runoff. She combines empirical observations with analytical methods to support a comprehensive evaluation of urban environments. Her research is oriented toward climate- and water-sensitive urban design, contributing to a more holistic understanding of urban systems and the development of resilient and adaptive cities in response to climate change.
